Cavaliers, just as with any breed, have tendencies for several health problems. It is believed that heart problems, such as MVD, are present to some degree in all Cavalier lines. Syringomyelia is also present to some degree in most lines. While no one can foresee if one particular dog will become ill, buying from a reputable breeder helps. Reputable breeders will do all they can to screen the genetic health of their breeding animals to avoid propagating these problems. Do you see yourself as both financially and emotionally able to accommodate these possible conditions? By indicating Yes, you are acknowledging that you are aware of the possible health conditions with Cavaliers and that you are able to accommodate and accept these conditions.
